Database Specialist

Job Objective: A brief overview of the position.

In support of the goals of the EMC Foundation, the Database Specialist will perform daily data entry of donations. Assists in all data entry projects and database file maintenance. Works collaboratively with EMC Foundation staff and others on events and projects as assigned.

Qualifications

Education Required: Bachelor's Degree, equivalent experience or combination of education and experience

Licensure/Certification N/A

Experience Required: A minimum of 2 years' experience with Raiser's Edge or similar CRM software. Understanding of and experience with relational databases. Prior experience in a fundraising office

Preferred: Experience with online research platforms and resources helpful

Essential Responsibilities

Demonstrates compliance with Code of Conduct and compliance policies, and takes action to resolve compliance questions or concerns and report suspected violations.

Assist with the day-to-day management and operation of all EMC Foundation database systems (Raiser's Edge.) Assist in the planning, developing, implementing and maintaining database systems, services and procedures, including data entry and reporting applications; database integrity, data restoration, and performance optimization.

Works collaboratively with others on events and projects as assigned. Creates and provides reports from Raiser's Edge as needed, requested, or scheduled.

Acts as a resource to staff when possible to solve problems of advanced complexity related to other EMC Foundation systems and software; Interfaces with EMC Information Systems when necessary.

Maintains and expands expertise through self-directed reading and studying, through formal training opportunities, and through vendor-supplied information resources.

Performs other duties as assigned.

Maintains 24/7 ACCESS member information current; running weekly report and distributing to the appropriate recipients, make deletions, additions and/or changes needed to keep the members up to date in Raiser's Edge and in the Hospital's System (Epic).

Makes an effort to know "who is who" donor wise. Remembering their names and knowing as much information about them as possible, i.e. what have they done for/with the foundation, and if they are potential donors, Donors, Board Members etc…

Has basic understanding and working knowledge of Research Software to be available to assist President of Foundation and staff i.
