Local & Regional Commercial Freight: Class A CDL Driver Wanted in Vancouver!

Are you an experienced, safety-first commercial driver looking for a high-paying driving role that keeps you primarily local rather than stuck out on the road? American Workforce Group has partnered with a premier, rapidly expanding freight and logistics carrier in Vancouver, WA to hire a dependable, full-time Class A CDL Driver .

PLEASE NOTE: THIS IS PRIMARILY A LOCAL DRIVING ROLE! We are not seeking an over-the-road (OTR) driver. Your routes are mainly local regional deliveries, with only occasional short-turn overnight runs when customer volumes require it. If you bring precision backing skills, reefer/grocery hauling experience, schedule flexibility (day or night dispatches), and an active Class A CDL, let's get you in the driver's seat!

• Safely and efficiently operate commercial Class A tractor-trailers primarily on local and regional delivery routes.
• Transport and deliver temperature-controlled refrigerated goods, grocery freight, and consumer retail products to regional distribution hubs and retail partners.
• Perform occasional short-haul, 1-night regional overnight dispatches as customer freight needs dictate.
• Conduct thorough, DOT-compliant pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections; maintain clean electronic logging device (ELD) records.
• Safely maneuver, dock, and back 53' trailers into busy distribution centers and retail loading bays with zero cargo or equipment damage.
• Communicate professionally with dispatchers, warehouse receivers, and retail customer personnel at every delivery point.
• Strictly comply with all Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations (FMCSR), Washington State DOT standards, and company safety policies.

• Pay Rate: $25.00 – $30.00 / hour (Scaling based on verifiable CDL experience and clean driving history / DOE).
• Schedule: Full-Time Monday – Friday (Occasional Sunday runs required based on customer shipping cycles).
• Dispatch Hours: Flexible shift options—dispatches may be Day Shift or Night Shift based on customer freight delivery windows.
• Route Style: Mainly Local short-haul runs with only occasional single-night regional overnight trips when needed (No long OTR stretches!).
• Location: Vancouver, WA dispatch terminal.
• Position Type: Full-Time, Temp-to-Hire career pathway.

• Licensing: Valid Commercial Driver's License (Class A CDL) with a current DOT Medical Card.
• Experience: Minimum of 2+ years of verifiable commercial Class A driving experience (refrigerated/grocery freight experience preferred).
• MVR Record: Clean, insurable driving record meeting commercial carrier insurance underwriting guidelines.
• Schedule Adaptability: Flexibility to run day or night dispatches and handle occasional short-haul overnight regional runs.
• Strong communication skills, professional demeanor, and a safety-first mindset.
• Exceptional history of daily attendance, prompt dispatch punctuality, and equipment reliability.

• Top-tier $25.00–$30.00/hr pay scale based on experience.
• Mainly local driving schedule—spend your downtime at home, not living on the road!
