Job DescriptionJob Description Commercial Solar & EV InstallerFull-time | On-site, with travel across New Mexico | Pay range: $20–$25/hr, DOEAbout usOE Solar is a commercial EPC (engineering, procurement and construction) company. We design, build and maintain solar PV, battery storage and EV charging systems for schools, government agencies, tribal communities and businesses across New Mexico. Our purpose is "Making the impossible possible for a renewable future." Our commercial pipeline is growing, and we need skilled installers who take pride in quality work and want to grow with us.What you'll doCommercial solar PVInstall rooftop (ballasted and attached), ground-mount and carport solar systems to plans, manufacturer requirements and current NEC codeLay out arrays and install several types of racking systems, including ballast placement and roof attachmentsMount modules, and string and wire them per the plansInstall inverters, combiner boxes, disconnects and monitoring equipmentBend and run EMT, rigid and PVC conduit. Pull wire and make terminations.Support trenching, underground conduit runs and equipment pad workHelp run heavy equipment as neededHelp with battery storage (BESS) installationsEV chargingInstall Level 2 and DC fast chargers (DCFC), including pedestal and wall-mount unitsRun conduit and feeders, and set bollards, pads and mounting hardwareHelp with charger startup, commissioning and network activationOn every jobRead and work from electrical one-line diagrams, site plans and roof plansSet up fall protection and roof safety equipmentTake photos before and after each installWrite a daily log in CRM and upload the day's photos into a dated folder for each jobFinish work on schedule, and leave job sites, trucks and the shop clean and organized every dayTrain and mentor newer crew membersWhat we're looking forRequired1+ years of commercial solar, electrical or construction experienceSafety comes first: you follow OSHA requirements and our company safety manual, and wear full PPE on every siteAbility to read electrical and construction drawingsAbility to lift 80 lbs, climb ladders, work at heights and work outdoors in all weatherValid driver's license and clean driving recordYou arrive on time with the tools on our required tool listYou're professional and respectful with customers, facility staff and coworkersYou take ownership of your work, report to your supervisor and document your work in writingPreferredOSHA 10 or OSHA 30NABCEP PV Associate or PV Installation ProfessionalEV charger manufacturer certifications (ChargePoint or similar)Experience with heavy equipment (skid steer, telehandler, mini excavator) or forklift certificationWhy OE SolarCompetitive payBenefits: health, dental, PTO, paid holidaysPaid training and certification supportRoom to grow into crew lead and foreman rolesWork on projects that power New Mexico schools and communitiesCompensation details: 20-25 Hourly WagePI034ec954a655-25405-41675438
