Pet Care Attendant

Key Responsibilities  

- Feed pets according to their individual care instructions and dietary needs  

- Provide walks and exercise to promote physical activity and mental stimulation  

- Facilitate play and enrichment activities to ensure pets are engaged and happy  

- Clean kennels and pet areas regularly to maintain a hygienic environment  

- Monitor pets for changes in health, behavior, appetite, or overall well-being  

- Communicate promptly with management regarding any concerns or observations about pets' health or behavior  

- Assist with maintaining a safe, clean, and sanitary environment for pets and staff  

Skills and Qualifications  

- Compassionate and caring attitude towards animals  

- Ability to follow detailed care instructions and protocols  

- Good communication skills for reporting observations and concerns  

- Physical ability to perform tasks such as walking, cleaning, and lifting pets or supplies  

- Prior experience in pet care, animal handling, or related fields is preferred but not required  

- Knowledge of basic pet health and safety practices is a plus  

- Reliable, responsible, and attentive to detail

- Must be able to lift 50lbs

- Ability to be on your feet for 6+ hours 

- 1 year dog handling experience 

- Must be able to work holidays and weekends
