Hospice After Hours RN

Job Title Hospice After Hours Registered Nurse Location & Schedule Mount Vernon, IL, USA (serving Mount Carmel, IL and surrounding areas). Working hours: 7 days on (5PM–8AM) followed by 7 days off, 40hrs per week. Responsibilities Collaborate with the after‑hours hospice care team to manage and deliver patient care plans. Provide direct patient care, chart critical observations, and complete documentation promptly. Travel to patient locations (≈20% of day); maintain a reliable driving schedule. Self‑manage time and schedule to meet critical charting deadlines. Use tablets, smartphones, and electronic medical record (EMR) software effectively. Qualifications Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of employment. Associate degree or higher from an accredited nursing school. Minimum two (2) years of RN experience; hospice experience preferred. Current driver’s license with ability to drive to patient sites. Strong charting discipline and ability to meet deadlines. Proficient with tablets, mobile phones, and EMR systems. Compensation & Benefits $10,000 first‑year success bonus for key achievement completion.
