KENNEL SUPPORT ASSOCIATE (CLUB PET)

Part Time- 24 hours per week / Pay Rate: $19 hr Schedule varies. One weekend day and holidays required Do you enjoy providing high quality care for animals? As an Kennel Support Associate within our Club Pet Boarding Facility at the world renowned Helen Woodward Animal Center, you will provide animals with individualized comfort and care during their stay with us. Kennel Support Associate's duties will include maintenance of animal records, provide animals with necessary bedding/water, meet standards for exercise, individual attention, feeding, hygiene, and light medications as required. Extensive time spent cleaning kennels to provide a safe and healthy environment along with monitoring pet's emotional and physical condition. As part of our Kennel Support Associate team, you will have a key role in contributing to the wellbeing of the animals under your supervision.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS FOR KENNEL SUPPORT ASSOCIATE:

Some animal handling experience required, preferably in a kennel environment. Ability to properly handle, exercise, and control large dogs and/or cats, difficult cats and exotic animals. Able to safely lift 50 lbs. and work closely with animal (dog, cat, exotics) hair/dander. Employee must demonstrate ability to work effectively with others (including co-workers, customers, and others) by sharing ideas in a constructive and positive manner; listening to and objectively considering ideas and suggestions from others; keeping commitments; keeping others informed of work progress, timetables and issues; and addressing problems and issues constructively to find mutually acceptable and practical business solutions. Employee must demonstrate regular and consistent attendance and punctuality. Helen Woodward Animal Center is a smoke-free environment.
