Our Dallas-Fort Worth operation is one of several Texas territories under the same ownership, and we work directly with insurance carriers rather than chasing plumber referrals. Own the Claim At Rytech, you own the loss from the first call to the final drying log. You scope it, you set the equipment, you document it, and you’re the one talking to the homeowner and the adjuster. This is not just a demo job. Where This Goes Technicians here move to Project Manager, which starts in the $80–$85K range. From there, Location Manager, or into our Contents or Rebuild divisions. Two of our current Rytech franchise owners started as technicians. The operations partner who runs our Dallas–Fort Worth market started at $13 an hour, working alone out of a cargo van. She hired her first technician a few months later. He stayed eight years. That team is now 15 to 20 people across water and contents. What You’ll Do Respond to water losses and own them start to finish: emergency extraction, structural drying, dehumidification. Scope the loss. Determine what needs to happen, explain it to the homeowner, and execute it. Set, monitor, and adjust drying equipment (air movers, dehumidifiers). Conduct moisture readings and mapping. Document the job in MICA / Mitigate. Photos, sketches, forms, moisture data, drying logs, line items. Work directly with insurance adjusters. We are a program shop, which means the carrier is our referral source and our second customer. Direct apprentices and subcontractors on larger losses. Hold the line on IICRC and OSHA standards. What We’re Looking For 2+ years in water, mold, or fire mitigation, handling claims end to end. WRT and ASD certification preferred. If you don't have them, we support your path to earning them. Working knowledge of drying science, psychrometry, and building materials. Comfortable documenting in restoration software. If you’ve only ever done it on paper, tell us anyway, but expect a steeper ramp. Valid driver’s license, clean record. Able to lift 70+ lbs and work in attics, crawl spaces, and standing water. Strong communication with homeowners and insurance adjusters. What We Offer Pay: $20–$22/hr depending on experience and certification. Take-home company vehicle. Bonus: Performance bonus tied to hitting Mitigate’s recommended equipment counts on every job. We measure the work by drying science, not by hours logged. Hours: Steady, year-round work. You will not be sitting in the yard waiting for a call. Typical overtime is 7–10 hours per week at time-and-a-half, and there is more available for anyone who wants it. On-call: One designated weeknight, the same night every week. Weekends run two techs, currently every other weekend and stretching out as we add to the rotation. Certifications: We pay for advanced IICRC coursework: ASD, AMRT, FSRT. Benefits: Health insurance, paid time off, cell phone reimbursement, professional development. A Word on the Schedule This is a 24/7/365 business. Water does not wait for business hours. When we get busy, it is demanding, and when the peaks come they are real. We would rather tell you that now than have you find out in month two. What we can tell you is that the rotation is set in advance and you will always know your night. When you have weekend duty, we work to give you two days off during the week beforehand.
