This position will be cross-trained in multiple areas of Human Resources, with responsibilities varying according to departmental needs and priorities. Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent required. Previous clerical, administrative, HR, PEIMS, or school district experience preferred. TASBO certification preferred, or willingness to obtain certification within a reasonable period of time. Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills. Ability to maintain confidentiality and work with sensitive information. Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to changing needs. Proficiency with computers, databases, spreadsheets, and standard office technology. Ability and willingness to learn and support multiple HR functions. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Provide general administrative and clerical support for the Human Resources Department. Coordinate and administer employee leave processes, including PTO, FMLA, Workers’ Compensation, TDL, and other applicable leaves; maintain required documentation, track leave status, and facilitate communication between employees, supervisors, and HR. Support recruitment and staffing efforts, including job fairs, hiring events, applicant activities, and other recruitment initiatives. Coordinate substitute services, including substitute recruitment, training, records, and ongoing support. Assist with tracking and maintaining employee certifications, credentials, and required job qualifications, including requesting documentation as needed. Serve as the Human Resources PEIMS point of contact and assist in maintaining accurate and complete personnel data; review records and reports periodically to support data accuracy and compliance with district and state requirements. Provide administrative support for departmental budget activities, including purchase orders, budget tracking, planning, and travel arrangements related to professional development, conferences, and other HR events. Maintain and update HR webpages, information, and resources. Maintain accurate and confidential records and information in district systems. Assist with HR projects, events, audits, and other departmental initiatives. Provide cross-trained support across HR functions as needed. Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Human Resources or designee. Posture: Prolonged sitting; occasional bending/stooping, pushing/pulling, and twisting. Motion: Repetitive hand motions, including frequent keyboarding and use of mouse; occasional reaching. Lifting: Occasional light lifting and carrying (less than 15 pounds). Environment: May work prolonged or irregular hours; frequent district-wide travel; occasional statewide and out-of-state travel. Mental Demands: Work with frequent interruptions; maintain emotional control under stress; manage multiple priorities and deadlines; maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment when handling sensitive personnel information.
