Physical Therapist- Rehab Manager

*Job Summary:*

The Physical Therapist serves as the Director of the Physical Therapy Department, overseeing daily clinical operations, staff, patient care, and departmental programs. This role provides leadership in treatment planning, quality improvement, staff development, and regulatory compliance while ensuring high-quality, patient-centered physical therapy services.

*Responsibilities:*

Oversee the daily clinical operations of the Physical Therapy Department
Supervise, train, develop, and evaluate Physical Therapy staff
Provide leadership in assessing, planning, directing, and coordinating departmental programs
Develop and manage departmental budgets while supporting cost containment
Develop, implement, and update departmental policies, procedures, standards, and protocols
Evaluate operational efficiency, quality of services, and patient outcomes
Lead continuous quality improvement initiatives and analyze departmental systems and processes
Develop short- and long-term departmental plans consistent with organizational goals
Coordinate departmental programs and services with other healthcare departments
Develop staffing patterns, therapy guidelines, emergency protocols, and patient service processes
Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations, professional standards, HIPAA, CMS, and organizational policies
Provide guidance in patient assessment, treatment planning, and clinical care
Provide direct patient care as needed to maintain clinical competency
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient health outcomes
Develop and coordinate staff education, training, and professional development programs
Coordinate educational programs for students, therapist interns, medical staff, and community members
Ensure patients receive care consistent with individualized treatment plans and goals
Oversee equipment acquisition, maintenance, and proper functioning
Promote injury prevention, health education, and wellness programs for patients and families
Maintain accurate, confidential, and appropriate patient records
Support a positive patient experience while balancing quality care, cost outcomes, and patient satisfaction
Participate in continuing education to maintain current knowledge and clinical competency

*Qualifications:*

Degree or certificate in Physical Therapy from an accredited program
Valid, current, and unrestricted Physical Therapist license in Nebraska
Five (5) years of experience practicing as a Physical Therapist preferred, or Doctorate in Physical Therapy with three (3) years of experience
One (1) year of experience managing a Physical Therapy clinic and staff preferred
Current CPR certification
Prior experience working with Indian Health Services (IHS), a Tribe, or Tribal Organization preferred
Strong knowledge of Physical Therapy principles, practices, techniques, and modalities
Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathophysiology, and musculoskeletal systems
Strong clinical assessment, treatment planning, and patient care skills
Excellent communication, leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and collaboratively with an interdisciplinary healthcare team
Knowledge of injury prevention, patient education, and culturally appropriate care
Ability to maintain confidentiality and comply with HIPAA, CMS, and organizational policies
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills

Pay: $91,000.00 - $104,000.00 per year
