Continental Dairy Facilities is the Select Milk Producer’s first state‑of‑the‑art powder milk and butter facility, producing over 300,000 pounds of dry non‑fat milk per day in Coopersville, Michigan. The facility, operating since 2009, supplies Grade A, Gold Star quality milk products to manufacturers across the U.S. and worldwide. Job Title Receiving Operator - Department: Receiving. Reports to: Plant Supervisor. FLSA Status: Non‑Exempt. Duties and Responsibilities Receive all incoming products that meet legal and company standards. Perform CIP (cleaning in place) of tankers, silos, and line circuits. Take proper samples of incoming products for bacteria, butterfat, SNF, and inhibitory substances. Conduct drug residue testing according to the current PMO edition, temperature checks, titratable acidity, and other required tests. Sample the CIP system to monitor chemical strengths. Monitor testing equipment and replace supplies as needed. Maintain a clean, sanitary, and USDA‑inspection‑ready work area. Perform housekeeping duties. Ensure that the load out of all raw products meets specifications before loading. Service pumps and valves as required or per preventative maintenance schedule. Perform load out in an efficient and sanitary manner. Assist in training new personnel. Report immediately to the foreperson or supervisor any damage, irregular activity, or unsafe conditions related to the equipment. Follow all safety, work, and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) rules. Perform other duties as assigned by management. Take responsibility for food safety and food quality. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Ability to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Work safely and efficiently, following safety procedures and using safety equipment. Problem‑solve small issues and recognize when escalation is needed. Seek assistance when processes are unclear. Operate equipment effectively after the appropriate break‑in period. Basic computational skills: simple math and reasoning. Education and/or Experience High School diploma or General Education Degree (GED). Certificates, Licenses, Registrations Must be able to obtain a Sampler’s Certificate from the State and become an Industry Analyst as defined by the Pasteurized Milk Ordinance (PMO). #J-18808-Ljbffr
