Mason Nursing and Rehab Dietary Cook Job Summary At Mason Nursing and Rehab, we are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Dietary Cook to join our team of dedicated healthcare professionals. As a Dietary Cook, you will play a vital role in ensuring the nutritional needs of our residents are met, while maintaining a high level of quality and service in our dining experience. Responsibilities Prepare and cook meals according to established menus and recipes, utilizing fresh ingredients and adhering to food safety guidelines Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment, adhering to all health and safety regulations Collaborate with the Dietary Manager to ensure menu planning, inventory management, and food quality control Assist with food preparation, including chopping, dicing, and cooking meals for residents Manage food inventory, ordering supplies and ingredients as needed Participate in food safety and sanitation training, and maintain a clean and organized work environment Develop and implement creative menu ideas to meet the dietary needs and preferences of our residents Work closely with the Dietary Manager and other members of the dietary team to ensure the smooth operation of the department Requirements High school diploma or equivalent required; culinary arts degree or certification preferred 0 minimum years of experience in a healthcare setting or related industry Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing multiple tasks and responsibilities Strong attention to detail, with a focus on food quality and presentation Excellent communication and teamwork skills Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays Company Culture At Mason Nursing and Rehab, we are committed to creating a positive and supportive work environment that fosters growth, teamwork, and collaboration.
