High School Special Education Teacher in Rockaway Beach, OR

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate High School Special Education Teacher to join our educational team in Rockaway Beach, Oregon. This full-time position offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact by supporting students with diverse learning needs and helping them achieve academic, social, and post-secondary success.

Summary:

The High School Special Education Teacher will provide specialized instruction and support to students with disabilities in accordance with their Individualized Education Programs (IEPs). The successful candidate will collaborate with general education teachers, families, and support staff to create an inclusive learning environment that promotes student growth, independence, and achievement.

Essential Responsibilities Include:
Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for high school students.
Plan and deliver differentiated instruction aligned with state academic standards and individual student goals.
Provide specialized instruction in individual, small-group, and inclusive classroom settings.
Monitor student progress and maintain accurate documentation of academic and behavioral data.
Collaborate with general education teachers, administrators, related service providers, and families to support student success.
Participate in IEP meetings, eligibility meetings, and other multidisciplinary team meetings.
Implement positive behavior supports and evidence-based instructional practices.
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and district special education laws and regulations.
Foster a safe, respectful, and supportive classroom environment that encourages student independence and self-advocacy.

Required Material:
Valid Oregon Special Education teaching license or eligibility for Oregon licensure is required.
Bachelor's degree in Special Education or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
At least 2 years of experience. 
Knowledge of IEP development, special education laws, accommodations, and instructional best practices.
Strong communication, collaboration, classroom management, and organizational skills.
