Behavior Technician (BT) – Special Education Support

Position Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Behavior Technician (BT) to support children and adults with special needs. In this role, you will work closely with educators, therapists, and behavioral specialists to implement individualized plans that promote learning, skill development, and positive behavioral outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Implement individualized behavior intervention and treatment plans under the guidance of certified professionals

• Provide one-on-one or small group support to individuals with special needs

• Assist in developing and reinforcing academic, social, and daily living skills

• Collect and record data on client progress and behavior

• Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and other team members to achieve client goals

• Support a safe, structured, and positive learning environment

• Follow all policies, procedures, and compliance standards

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required

• At least 18 years of age

• Ability to meet all federal, state, and local employment requirements

• Completion of TB screening (questionnaire, PPD, or chest X-ray, as applicable)

• Current CPR certification (if required for assignment)

Preferred Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience working with pediatric populations or individuals with special needs

• Experience in behavioral health, ABA (Applied Behavior Analysis), or educational support settings

• Strong communication, patience, and interpersonal skills

• Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
