Jery’s Pawn is seeking a professional, well-spoken, and customer-focused Pawnbroker to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in pawn, retail sales, customer service, or a related field. However, we are willing to train the right person who demonstrates strong communication skills, sound judgment, dependability, and a willingness to learn.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist customers with pawn loans, purchases, payments, and redemptions.
• Evaluate merchandise and negotiate fair loan and purchase amounts.
• Provide professional, respectful, and knowledgeable customer service.
• Build customer relationships and explain pawn terms, policies, and payment requirements clearly.
• Promote and sell merchandise while helping customers find products that meet their needs.
• Meet individual and store sales goals.
• Test, inspect, price, label, and properly handle merchandise.
• Maintain accurate records and follow all company procedures.
• Keep the sales floor, displays, counters, and work areas organized and presentable.
• Handle cash and other forms of payment accurately.
• Follow all applicable company policies and legal requirements.
• Assist with other store responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications

• Previous pawn, retail sales, customer service, jewelry, firearms, tools, or electronics experience is preferred.
• Strong sales and negotiation skills.
• Professional appearance and communication style.
• Well-spoken, confident, and comfortable working with the public.
• Ability to remain courteous and professional during difficult negotiations or customer interactions.
• Dependable, honest, motivated, and willing to learn.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
• Basic computer and cash-handling skills.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and safely lift and move merchandise as needed.
• Must be available to work Saturdays and overtime when required.

Schedule

This position requires flexible availability, including Saturdays and occasional overtime based on business needs.
