Custodian (Part-time)

Custodian PositionPerson County Government is seeking dependable and motivated Part-Time Custodians to help maintain clean, safe, and welcoming environments in County facilities.As a Custodian with General Services, you'll play an important role in supporting County operations by ensuring public buildings and office spaces are well-maintained and presentable. Responsibilities include performing a variety of custodial and facility care duties across multiple County buildings.This position works under close to general supervision and follows established policies and procedures. While guidance is provided, employees are expected to use good judgment in determining the most effective way to complete assigned tasks and prioritize daily responsibilities.The starting salary will be determined with consideration given to both the candidate's educational background and relevant work experience.Must possess a valid driver's license and have an acceptable driving record per County policy. If the position you are applying for requires a degree, education verification will be required as part of the hiring process.This is a non-exempt position. Part-time employees cannot work more than 1000 hours per calendar year.Part-time employees can enroll in the NC 401k and NC 457 plans through Empower. No County contributions.
