About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: IMC Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum of 2 years of acute care experience within the last 3 years in the specialty License: RN license required Certifications: BLS, ACLS Must-Have: Telemetry oncology, cardiac, and PCU/DOU/IMC/Stepdown experience required. Experience with ventilators and transplant patients is necessary. Description: Traveler will work in different units providing care to acutely ill patients. Evening and night shifts, 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM. Work schedule includes Monday through Friday, with every other weekend and some holiday shifts required. Telemetry experience is mandatory. Traveler will be required to pass a telemetry test before starting. Care for patients with various medical diagnoses and comorbidities. Nurses will provide care in a collaborative and fast-paced environment. Critical thinking and teamwork are essential. The unit requires experienced nurses to care for both general care and IMC level patients. Patient population includes those with pulmonary hypertension and post lung transplant needs. The nurse-patient ratio aims to be 1:4 for general care and 1:2 for IMC. Must demonstrate proficiency in acute care nursing practices. Pass/fail testing will be conducted with strict criteria. Travelers will need to float as required. The role includes managing complex patient care and specialized nursing activities. Orientation to unit procedures and expectations will be provided.
