Psychiatry Physician

Our client, a leading healthcare provider dedicated to delivering comprehensive mental health services, is hiring a Psychiatrist to join their dynamic team on Long Island. This pivotal role offers the opportunity to impact patient care significantly through a blend of outpatient and hospital-based psychiatric services, working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary environment.Responsibilities:Conduct thorough psychiatric evaluations, including diagnostic assessments and treatment planning both in-person and via telehealth platforms.Provide medication management and brief supportive psychotherapy tailored to individual patient needs.Monitor patient progress continuously and modify treatment plans accordingly to optimize outcomes.Collaborate effectively with primary care providers, behavioral health clinicians, hospital staff, and administrative leaders to coordinate care across multiple settings.Maintain accurate, timely documentation within the electronic medical record (EMR) system.Participate actively in team meetings, clinical case reviews, and quality improvement initiatives.Adhere strictly to clinical policies, procedures, and regulatory standards to ensure high-quality care delivery.Requirements:MD or DO degree from an accredited institution.Completion of an ACGME-accredited Psychiatry residency program.Board-certified or board-eligible in Psychiatry.Valid and active New York State medical license (or eligibility).DEA certification with prescribing authority for controlled substances.Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.Ability to work effectively within a team and deliver compassionate patient care.Experience in consult/liaison psychiatry and outpatient settings.Familiarity with integrated or collaborative care models.Bilingual abilities, especially in Spanish or other languages relevant to the local community.Ability to accommodate a full-time schedule at North Fork of Long Island location Hampton Bays.Some of the Benefits:Competitive salaryComprehensive health and dental insurance plans.Retirement plan options.Professional development opportunities.Supportive work environment focused on work-life balance and career growth.Salary: The posted range is not a guarantee.
