The Tester will be responsible for inspecting and testing electrical wire and cable products to ensure compliance with internal quality standards and external industry specifications. This role is essential to maintaining product integrity and customer satisfaction.Shift Details: 11:00 pm - 7:00 am(Monday - Friday)ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONSReview documentation / work orders, production instructions and engineering specificationsSet up for tests including but not limited to:Move product / reels within work areas including lower and upper millLoad / manage payoff and take up machinesStrip cables and attach appropriate test equipmentPerform appropriate tests, operate equipment and interpret resultsRewind, cap, and prep reels for shippingMonitor / verify processOperate fork truck and other product moving equipment, change propane cylindersIdentify and report non-conformities or defects to appropriate personnelSupport root cause analysis and continuous improvement initiativesComply with safety, environmental, and company policies and procedures at all timesPerform other duties as assignedEDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND KNOWLEDGE QUALIFICATIONSExperience in a manufacturing or testing environment, preferably in the wire and cable industryFamiliarity with quality control principles and inspection techniques, is a plusAbility to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and specifications, is preferredFollowing receipt of a conditional offer of employment, candidates will be required to complete additional job-related screening processes as permitted or required by applicable law.We are an equal opportunity employer, and all applicants will be considered for employment without attention to their membership in any protected class.
