We're looking for a licensed Alabama attorney who takes ownership of their cases, thrives in a fast-paced and structured environment, and wants to build alongside people who value integrity and accountability. This is a great seat for a newer attorney ready to get on their feet in court, and we'll support you in getting there. WHAT YOU'LL DO Manage a portfolio of litigation cases from filing through resolution Appear in court for trials, hearings, mediations, and arbitrations Draft and respond to pleadings that move cases forward Negotiate and communicate with opposing counsel and defendants Review, sign, and approve firm pleadings in states where you're licensed Review new placements and approve initial client correspondence and legal requirements Own case status, questions, and issue resolution — escalating when appropriate Stay current on federal and state legal requirements where you practice WHAT YOU BRING Active license and good standing with the Alabama State Bar, additional licensed states a plus 1–2 years of litigation experience preferred, but not required — recent grads encouraged to apply Strong research, analytical, and problem-solving skills Excellent written and oral communication and a professional courtroom demeanor Ability to thrive in a high-volume, team-oriented environment Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) BONUS POINTS Collections or recoveries experience Litigation experience in a high-volume firm WHAT WE OFFER 401(k) Dental and life insurance Paid time off THE DETAILS Travel: Occasional, for court appearances #J-18808-Ljbffr Zarzaur & Schwartz, P.C.
