Registered Nurse - Operating Room

Job Description

Job Summary:

Provides comprehensive perioperative nursing care to surgical patients in the operating room environment, ensuring safety, efficiency, and patient-centered care throughout the surgical process.

Responsibilities:

• Perform thorough assessments of surgical patients, including evaluation of medical history and current condition.
• Demonstrate competent clinical skills by supporting patient care activities and operating specialized equipment.
• Maintain complete and accurate documentation of patient care, procedures, and outcomes in accordance with guidelines.
• Exhibit professionalism by adhering to policies, procedures, and standards for clinical and professional growth.
• Foster patient satisfaction through respectful communication, confidentiality, and active involvement of patients and families.
• Follow safety protocols, including patient identification, use of universal precautions, and proper transfer techniques.

Qualifications:

• Valid RN license required.
• Minimum of 3 years of perioperative or operating room nursing experience preferred.
• BLS certification required; CNOR certification preferred.
• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with an Associate's or Bachelor's Degree.
• Demonstrates knowledge of surgical procedures, patient assessment, and emergency response.
