Our organization operates a 537-bed teaching hospital, situated about 40 miles from New York City's center in West Islip, New York. St. Charles Hospital is located in Port Jefferson, Long Island. Both facilities are enriched by a vibrant culture and history, offering a wide array of attractions and points of interest. Long Island provides a variety of seasonal activities, including professional sports, pristine beaches, water sports, museums, golf, hunting, camping, ice skating, cross-country skiing, and sledding.

Our hospital employs over 900 physicians and features a Level II pediatric trauma center, serving nearly 950,000 patients each year along the south shore of Long Island. We proudly host Suffolk County's only freestanding Center for Pediatric Specialty Care, with satellite locations in Nassau County and plans for further expansion. Our children's program offers comprehensive services from our Level III Neonatology Unit through to adulthood. Our dedicated pediatric therapists provide exceptional care, including physical, occupational, feeding, and swallowing therapies, along with an early intervention program. Our commitment to pediatrics fosters a well-rounded department with specialists across all pediatric medicine fields, including a dedicated Pediatric Emergency Department staffed 24/7 by physicians trained in pediatric emergency care, as well as a pediatric residency and fellowship program.

Additionally, our organization supports two ACGME-accredited residency programs in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, with St. Charles Hospital serving as a primary training site for one. St. Charles, with its extensive expertise in rehabilitation medicine, addresses both adult and pediatric long-term rehabilitative needs, supported by physical and occupational therapists.

Salary Range: $259,254 - $315,218

Key Responsibilities:

• Assessing and managing infants, children, and adolescents with diverse rehabilitative needs.
• Supervising and mentoring medical students, interns, and residents within the department and division.
• Upholding high standards and quality of care for all patients.
• Encouraging high-quality, cost-effective care grounded in the best medical evidence.
• Engaging in data collection to evaluate patient care and satisfaction.
• Staying updated on advancements in pediatrics, medical management, and related fields through CME programs, literature reviews, and medical staff conferences.
• Applicants must be Board-Certified in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation and Board-Certified or Board-Eligible in Pediatric Rehabilitation Medicine. A New York State License is required.

This salary range is a good faith estimate; actual compensation will depend on various factors, including education, training, skills, licensure, certification, competencies, and relevant experience.
