Physical Therapist - Internal Agency - Float

Job Summary The Internal Agency Physical Therapist (PT) evaluates and treats patients in acute, post‑acute, and outpatient settings throughout CoxHealth facilities. The PT treats patients of all ages as ordered. PT staff assist patients to reach their highest level of functioning and make recommendations for the next level of care. The physical therapist plans and implements prevention, habilitation, and/or rehabilitation services including mobility devices, counseling and orientation for mobility, pain relief, increasing strength, and improving or correcting disabling conditions. Internal Agency Physical Therapists participate in a rotation to various units, hospitals, and/or outpatient settings as determined by Therapy Services leadership. Schedules for the IA PT will be determined by area and day of greatest need and will include weekends and holidays. Direct care staff are required to complete all Hip and Knee Replacement Program curriculum and the annual education module(s) assigned. Additional Compensation and Benefits Up to $10,000 sign‑on bonus Up to 80 hours of front‑loaded paid time off Up to $3,000 relocation bonus Clinical ladder bonus up to $5,000 Float pay: $20.00 per hour for multiple locations across all CoxHealth campuses Medical, vision, dental, retirement with employer match and more (20+ hrs/week) Education Required: Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy Program Preferred: Masters or Doctorate from an accredited program of Physical Therapy Experience Preferred: 2 years of experience in Physical Therapy Good clinical expertise, communication skills, human relations skills and organizational skills required. Self‑motivated, able to work independently with little direct supervision. Demonstrated interest in professional growth by attendance at continuing education workshops, and application of new principles and/or techniques.
