About the Role: Aquila Technology is seeking a Sr. Talent Acquisition Specialist to support one of the nation's premier defense research organizations. The Sr. Talent Acquisition Specialist will be responsible for developing and implementing sourcing and talent acquisition strategies using various means such as passive job seeker identification, advertisements and social media campaign(s), career/job fairs, and college recruitment. The Sr. Talent Acquisition Specialist will also collaborate with HR Business Partners and hiring managers to support talent acquisition needs and initiatives across the organization. Responsibilities: Drives the recruiting process including sourcing, screening, interviewing, and advising in the selection of final candidates for assigned division/departments. Participates in the negotiation of offers. Develop an understanding of the assigned functional areas' talent needs and develops talent acquisition strategies to attract and hire best‑in‑class talent. Establish, build and maintain strong and effective relationships and partnerships with hiring managers. Actively ensures the quality and effectiveness of staffing activities for designated departments/groups; educates managers on the hiring process and tools; recommends and implements process improvements as needed and serves as a leader on projects, as assigned. Qualifications: 7+ years of experience in full life cycle recruiting, preferably in an engineering and/or research & development environment. Experience using social media and the latest sourcing tools and methods (Boolean Internet Search, LinkedIn etc.) Detail‑oriented in organizing, managing, and tracking candidate flow Outstanding customer service and relationship‑building skills Ability to present new recruiting concepts to talent acquisition team Some travel will be required to attend job fairs, campus recruiting and diversity events Experience with virtual recruiting platforms as well as experience with virtual interviewing methods and demonstrated ability to foster relationships General knowledge of current employment laws and practices.
