Ultrasound Technician

This is a 13-week contract position.

Day Shift: 5x8 Hour Schedule (08:00 - 16:30)

We are seeking a qualified Ultrasound Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in outpatient and obstetrics (OB) services, with a focus on providing high-quality imaging and patient care. Call is required for this role, specifically two days a week and two weekends a month.

Responsibilities

• Perform ultrasound examinations on patients, focusing on outpatient and OB services.
• Maintain accurate and comprehensive patient records, including charting and documentation.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient care and treatment outcomes.
• Assist in teaching and guiding other staff members regarding ultrasound procedures as needed.
• Adhere to all safety and compliance regulations set forth by healthcare authorities.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 1 year of experience as an Ultrasound Technician.
• National certification required: American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) or American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) must be in hand.
• Pending New Mexico state license is acceptable if obtained prior to start date.
• Experience with various ultrasound procedures, including but not limited to: fetal anatomical surveys, abdominal imaging, and high-risk OB cases.
