Registered Nurse (Newborn Admission) - PRN Tier 3 - Days

Role Overview Provides highly professional nursing care to neonates in a NICU setting, collaborating with NICU and L&D RNs to support newborns from birth to post-transfer, including monitoring transitioning infants. Utilizes the nursing process for assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation to deliver quality patient care. Key Responsibilities Adheres to hospital standards, promoting teamwork and effective communication. Assumes responsibility for patient and family education. Maintains a safe, therapeutic environment for patients, staff, and visitors. Ensures accurate and timely documentation of patient information. Administers medications and IV therapies safely and accurately. Engages in professional growth and assumes other duties as assigned. Qualifications & Skills Graduate of an accredited nursing school. Current Basic Life Support certification. Valid nursing license in Texas or eligibility. At least 2 years of RN experience, including 1 year in L&D or NICU with delivery newborn care.
