Dental Assistant Opportunity

Pinnacle Hills Dental Group is seeking a warm, friendly, and dedicated dental assistant to join their team. Hours will vary but will eventually lead to full time.

Our ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of general dentistry experience, be a fast learner, a go-getter, and a true team player! They will expertly assist/support the dentist in delivering exceptional care to all patients and ensure that patients are the number one priority in the practice. The ideal candidate will have the ability to multitask, think critically, and have excellent foresight. Must have a current AR RDA. We are a small team and love having fun together! We work tirelessly in helping one another in every task!

Experience with Dentrix is preferred but not a requirement.

Working under the direction of the dentist and operations leader, the tasks and responsibilities of a dental assistant include but are not limited to:

• Sets up/breaks down rooms and operatories to ensure a safe environment- abiding by all infection control guidelines and recommendations
• Prepares patient for treatment, sterilizes instruments, sets up trays and prepares materials
• Assists dentist chair-side during procedures
• Takes quality diagnostic radiographs, x-rays, panoramic x-rays, digital scans as prescribed by the dentist
• Provides post operative instructions to patients as needed
• Instructs patient in oral hygiene when appropriate
• Manages lab cases, keeps equipment maintenance logs up to date and prepares charts in advance for patient safety, office efficiency and the patient experience
• Enters relevant/important information and keeps records into the practice management in support of/under the direction of the dentist
• Utilizes tools, skills, and talents to assist patients in making the best possible decision for their needs
• Has a "yes mentality" when helping patients
• Makes a positive first impression with patients by phone or in person
• Ensure that ALL patients have an extraordinary experience
• Accountability for successful completion of projects, job duties, and all company deliverables
• Complete Continuing Education as required for self and staff. Follow required HIPAA and OSHA safety procedures, as necessary
• Exhibit outstanding customer service with patient as priority; partnering with staff, timely and successfully resolve patient complaints, concerns and questions
• Continually build and nurture a positive working relationship with the team
• Strictly follow HIPAA and company standards to protect Patient Health Information (PHI) and patient personal and financial information including credit card, social security numbers etc.
• Comfortable in financial conversations
• Other duties and responsibilities assigned

Required:

• RDA permit through state of Arkansas
• X-ray certification through the state of Arkansas
• Nitrous Oxide certification through the state of Arkansas
