Supervisor Quality Control, Microbiology

Integra LifeSciences seeks a Supervisor for Quality Control Microbiology to lead laboratory operations at its Braintree facility. The role combines technical expertise and people management to oversee microbiological testing, environmental monitoring, and validation activities in a regulated medical device environment.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily QC microbiology laboratory operations and ensure timely, accurate testing completion
• Oversee microbiological testing of raw materials, in-process materials, and finished products
• Manage environmental monitoring and utilities monitoring programs for controlled manufacturing areas
• Lead laboratory personnel through coaching, mentoring, and performance management
• Conduct or support method validations, environmental monitoring qualifications, and microbiological investigations

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Microbiology, Biology, Biochemistry, Life Sciences, or related discipline
• Minimum 7 years GMP/GLP laboratory experience in FDA-regulated industries
• Minimum 2 years supervisory or technical leadership experience
• Strong knowledge of FDA QMSR, 21 CFR Part 820, and ISO 13485 standards
• Hands-on expertise in microbiological methods, aseptic techniques, and environmental monitoring
• Experience managing OOS/OOT, nonconformances, CAPAs, and root cause investigations
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and laboratory information management systems
