Physical Therapist - Spaulding Outpatient

Job Responsibilities Assist patients in reaching maximum physical performance while adjusting to disabilities. Restore patient physical functioning by interpreting physical therapy evaluations and test results, determining treatment goals and plans, administering manual exercises, and instructing, encouraging, and assisting patients in performing physical activities and using assistive/supportive devices. Evaluate effects of treatment at various stages and adjust treatments to achieve maximum benefit. Perform patient assessment and establish a plan of care. Provide in‑service education programs to personnel as needed. Identify and document goals, anticipated progress, and plans for reevaluation. Discuss evaluation, goals, and treatment with patient and family. Participate in system‑wide quality process improvement. Supervise PTAs as needed per organization policy and state regulations. Qualifications & Education Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy required (or higher). Master's Degree in Physical Therapy preferred. Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) program preferred. Graduation from an accredited physical therapy program is required. For licensure prior to 2016, a bachelor's or master's degree is acceptable. For licensure from 2016 onward, completion of a Doctor of Physical Therapy program is required. Licenses & Credentials Physical Therapist – Rhode Island License required. Basic Life Support – required. Class D Passenger Vehicle Driver’s License – preferred. Experience Experience completing an internship or apprenticeship program for 1–2 years preferred. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Knowledge of medical terminology. Excellent organizational skills. Familiarity with Electronic Medical Record systems. Effective written communication tailored to audience. Teaching others how to perform tasks. Excellent problem‑solving, case management, and communication skills. Knowledge of related accreditation and certification requirements. Spaulding Rehabilitation Outpatient Clinic – Primary Care building at 111 Brewster Street, Pawtucket. Minimum salary $83,200.
