Senior Property Accountant

Pay: $110k base - $130k base. Work Environment: Hybrid after 60 days fully onsite Benefits: This position is eligible for medical, dental, vision, and 401(k). Our real estate client is an established commercial real estate organization managing a diverse portfolio of properties and is seeking a Senior Property Accountant. Key Responsibilities: Oversee accounting functions for an assigned portfolio of commercial properties. Complete month-end close activities and ensure transactions are accurately recorded. Prepare property-level financial statements, balance sheets, income statements, and supporting schedules. Assist with annual budgets, forecasts, and reforecasting. Account for operating expenses, CAM charges, property taxes, insurance, and tenant recoveries. Assist with annual CAM reconciliations and tenant recovery calculations. Assist with accounting system upgrades, testing, and process enhancements. Partner with Property Managers to explain financial results and provide accounting guidance. Review work prepared by junior accounting staff and provide coaching when appropriate. Assist accounting leadership with special projects, financial analysis, and process improvement initiatives. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Minimum of 4 years of accounting experience; commercial real estate experience is strongly preferred. Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and fundamental accounting principles. Experience with monthly close processes and financial statement preparation. Experience with Yardi Voyager and/or Yardi PayScan is preferred. Experience with office, retail, industrial, or multifamily properties is required. CAM experience is required.
