Job Title: Accounts Payable / Accounts Receivable Clerk (AP/AR)
Job Description:
We’re looking for a detail-oriented AP/AR Clerk to support our daily accounting operations, from vendor payments to customer collections. You’ll keep our financial records accurate, process invoices and receipts on time, and be a responsive point of contact for vendors and customers. If you’re organized and do well in a fast-paced environment, we’d like to hear from you.
What You’ll Do
Accounts Payable
- Manage AP mailboxes and answer vendor inquiries promptly and professionally
- Process a high volume of vendor invoices accurately in NetSuite
- Spot and resolve invoice and pricing discrepancies before they turn into problems
- Reconcile the AP/AR subledger to the general ledger and investigate variances
- Handle vendor setup and maintenance, including vendor files, W-9s, lien waivers and credit applications
- Coordinate year-end 1099 reporting on time and in compliance
- File pre-lien notices and liens when needed
- Support month-end and year-end close, including accruals and reporting
Accounts Receivable
- Monitor AR aging and follow up on outstanding customer balances
- Apply customer payments accurately (check, ACH and other methods)
- Prepare and record bank deposits on time
- Respond to customer requests for invoices, statements and billing support
- Reconcile customer accounts and resolve payment discrepancies or disputes
- Keep customer records and documentation accurate
General Accounting Support
- Follow company policies, accounting standards and internal controls
- Assist with audits by providing documentation and support
- Work with internal teams to resolve accounting issues and improve processes
- Handle other accounting and administrative duties as assigned
What You Bring
- 3–5 years of AP/AR experience
- High school diploma or GED
- Strong understanding of AP/AR best practices and accounting fundamentals
- High attention to detail, with excellent organizational and communication skills
- Ability to meet deadlines and juggle multiple priorities
- Hands-on NetSuite or similar ERP experience (strongly preferred)
