Job Title

This position is located in the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), Office of Administration (FS); Administrative Operations Section (FSO), Office Services Unit (FSOS).

Job Description

The primary purpose of this position is to assist the unit chief with planning, directing, and administering Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA)-wide and Department policies, procedures and regulations concerning printing, photography and related functions for all offices within DEA.

Duties

Your typical work assignments may include:

• The incumbent serves as an expert for DEA procurement of printing, industries, other government sources and private contractors when appropriate.
• Supporting the Office Services Unit (FSOS) mission with the managing and implementing DEA's logistics printing program.
• Reviewing Congressional Joint Committee on Printing (JCP) reports to ensure printing equipment's proper use and compliance with regulations.
• Procuring printing from the Government Printing Office (GPO) from commercial sources.
• Writing requirements and appropriateness of printing controls to high-level staff.

Requirements

Qualifications

GS-11:

Education: Three full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree NOTE: Graduate education must provide the applicant with the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position. OR

Experience: You must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent in difficulty and complexity to the next lower grade level (GS-09) in the normal line of progress for the occupation in the organization. To be creditable, this experience must have equipped the applicant with the particular qualifications to perform successfully the duties of the position, and must typically be in or related to the position to be filled.

Qualifying experience includes: 1) Writing justifications and specifications for biding contracts, or statements of work; 2) Making costs projections of printing expenditures; 3) Rejecting or accepting products in regards of printing requirements; 4) Collaborating with the writing of logistic operations procedures; OR

Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the second year (total graduate semester hours minus 36) by 18. Add the two percentages.

Time-In-Grade Requirement: Applicants who are current Federal employees and have held a GS grade any time in the past 52 weeks must also meet time-in-grade requirements by the closing date of this announcement. For a GS-11 position you must have served 52 weeks at the GS-09 The grade may have been in any occupation, but must have been held in the Federal service. An SF-50 that shows your time-in-grade eligibility must be submitted with your application materials. If the most recent SF-50 has an effective date within the past year, it may not clearly demonstrate you possess one-year time-in-grade, as required by the announcement. In this instance, you must provide an additional SF-50 that clearly demonstrates one-year time-in-grade.
