Outpatient Physical Therapist Assistant

This is a 13-week contract position.

The Outpatient Physical Therapist Assistant is responsible for implementing treatment goals, plans, and programs established by the Physical Therapist while promoting patient and employee safety in line with company core values.

Responsibilities:

• Assist the Physical Therapist in executing therapeutic interventions to meet long term patient goals.
• Train patients in locomotion using orthotics, prosthetics, or assistive devices.
• Demonstrate the use of therapeutic modalities and monitor patient responses to interventions.
• Document patient progress, treatment responses, and provide patient and family education.
• Maintain a safe and clean treatment area and adhere to safety policies and procedures.
• Establish and maintain professional relationships with patients and staff, while participating in team conferences.
• Contribute to projects aimed at improving quality and efficiency of patient care.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited school.
• CAPTE Certification.
• 1+ year of outpatient clinical experience.
• CPR Certification.
• Active license for the State where work will be performed.
