Mechanical Engineer - 3D Designer (Early Career) Location: Wendell, North Carolina, United States of America Employment Type: Full‑time • Hybrid (Remote/Office) • Permanent About the Role We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer and 3D Designer to join our medium voltage power distribution team in Wendell, NC. The role involves designing 3D models for energy management equipment from concept to production, collaborating with manufacturing, and contributing to product enhancement. Responsibilities Design models of parts and assemblies for energy management equipment from concept to completed 3D model. Work as part of a custom order business focused on unique customer requirements. Collaborate directly with the factory manufacturing team to address design challenges during production. Identify and integrate design enhancements to improve product quality. Create Bills of Materials, develop new assemblies, validate functionality, and release part/assemblies to production. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering. One or more years of experience in 3D modeling on the job or demonstrated knowledge from school projects. Legally authorized to work in the United States on a permanent basis without sponsorship. Preferred: Mechanical design experience for medium voltage switchgear, especially Siemens switchgear and electrical products. Preferred: Experience with sheet metal design.
