Founding Engineer | Build AI Products That Solve Mission-Critical Problems A client of Venchr is looking for a Founding Engineer to join a small, high-performing team building AI-powered products that solve complex, real-world operational challenges. This is a rare opportunity to join at an early stage, work directly with the founding team, and play a key role in shaping both the product and the company's future. You’ll have significant ownership, influence over technical direction, and the opportunity to work on products that are being used in mission-critical settings. As a Founding Engineer, you’ll own full-stack development across the core platform, building scalable features, AI-driven workflows, and intuitive customer-facing products. You’ll work primarily with TypeScript alongside technologies including Next.js, Express, PostgreSQL, AWS, Kubernetes, and modern LLM tooling. This role goes beyond writing code, giving you the chance to contribute to product decisions, improve customer outcomes, and help define the long-term engineering culture of the business. You’ll work closely with end users, gathering feedback and rapidly turning insights into production-ready features. The team values engineers who enjoy solving difficult problems, moving quickly, and balancing technical excellence with business impact. We’re looking for someone with 3–5 years of full-stack engineering experience, ideally with a strong background in TypeScript and modern web technologies. You’ll be comfortable taking ownership, working autonomously, and operating in an environment where priorities evolve quickly and everyone contributes beyond their job title. The role offers a base salary of $150K–$200K alongside 0.5–1.5% founding equity, giving you the chance to share directly in the company’s success.
