If you're passionate about making a difference and joining a mission-driven team, we invite you to explore this opportunity.We are currently seeking qualified candidates for the following position:Position: Maintenance Worker IThe Maintenance Worker I is responsible for cleaning and maintaining the building and grounds and minor repairs.Location: Bronx, New York 10453Minimum Qualifications:High School diploma or GED preferred. Good communications skills.Maintenance Worker I Principal Responsibilities:Clean all areas and dispose of garbage in accordance with the facility schedule.Provide general interior and exterior maintenance (examples: floor stripping, power washing, painting, lightbulb changing)Maintain the facility landscape and perimeter (examples: lawn mowing, shrub trimming, snow removal, debris removal)Assemble furniture and equipment and maintain in working conditionComplete work orders in a timely manner.Accept and transport deliveries of supplies, furniture, and other program materials.Assist in inventory control.Be available and provide back-up in emergency situations.Work Environment:While performing the duties of the job, the employee will be in both, the residential program and in the office. Work may be inside and outside.Physical Demands:While performing the duties of the job, the employee is regularly required to have visual acuity, talk and hear while communicating with peers and/or vendors. This position is sedentary and mobile. May require lifting, pushing, or pulling up to 50 pounds without assistance.
