Overview

Seeking a Communications & Marketing Specialist to support content creation, digital communications, and marketing initiatives. This role is design-heavy , with a primary focus on transforming provided content into visually compelling graphics and professionally formatted materials, while also supporting written communications and digital outreach.

Key Responsibilities

• Draft press releases, media statements, and talking points
• Support social media content creation, scheduling, and monitoring
• Create visual assets using Canva and/or Adobe Suite
• Design and format marketing materials, flyers, and outreach content
• Assist with website updates and content posting (WordPress or similar CMS)
• Support email communications and digital campaigns
• Conduct research to support messaging and outreach efforts
• Ensure brand consistency across all materials
• Provide backup support for communications requests and inbox monitoring

Required Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience in communications, marketing, or a related field
• Strong graphic design skills (primary focus)
• Proficiency with Canva and/or Adobe Creative Suite
• Ability to convert provided content into polished visual and written materials
• Experience creating written content such as social media posts and press releases
• Understanding of digital marketing and social media best practices
• Experience with WordPress or similar CMS platforms
• Strong written and verbal communication skills

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Colorado Springs, CO.

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $36.00/hr.
