Respiratory Therapist (RRT) PT, Wkd Nights (Non-NICU)

Work Shift Night (United States of America) Part-time Nights, 7p-7a Weekends starting on Friday (24 hrs per week) Location Wellstar Kennestone Hospital Job Summary The Respiratory Therapist II is responsible for medication administration and implementing respiratory care based on expanded knowledge, experience, and the evaluate‑and‑treat process. The majority of time is in critical care areas with protocol ventilator management, significant independent decision‑making and self‑direction. In addition to patient care delivery, the RT II is responsible for patient and family/support system education, coordination of activities, staff development, and professional and self‑developmental activities, addressing the biological, emotional, psychosocial, and patient/family education needs when providing care. Responsibilities Provides customer service Administers quality patient care Performs patient assessment for therapy Collaborates with health care team members in planning patient care Verifies orders and administers aerosolized medication, bronchial hygiene, volume expansion, oxygen, and medical gas therapy Performs arterial blood gas sampling and analysis Assists in invasive and non‑invasive procedures, cardiac service procedures, and pulmonary diagnostic testing Provides a safe and quality environment Promotes performance improvement initiatives designed to promote quality care Qualifications 0–2 years of clinical experience with a minimum of 6 months in critical care Registered Respiratory Therapist required Respiratory Care Professional required Ability to communicate well, critical thinking skills, and establish and maintain working relationships with physicians and other health care professionals Computer skills including familiarity with databases Good customer relation, assessment, and communication skills required #J-18808-Ljbffr Confidential
