Heavy Duty Equipment Diesel Mechanic

Heartline Staffing is recruiting a Heavy Duty Equipment Diesel Mechanic for an onsite opportunity in Gouverneur, New York. This is a hands-on mechanic position supporting continued production through the maintenance, diagnosis and repair of heavy-duty mobile underground equipment and diesel systems. The position requires a minimum of 3 years of heavy-duty diesel earth-moving equipment maintenance experience, hands-on equipment repair experience, welding and fabrication skills, and the ability to work safely in a safety-sensitive environment.

Compensation: $30-$35 Per Hour Base Pay. Pay depends on experience and skills. No bonus specified. Relocation assistance: No.

Heavy-Duty Equipment Maintenance & Repair:

• Maintain, diagnose and repair heavy-duty mobile underground equipment
• Diesel engines

Preventive Maintenance:

• Perform preventive maintenance (PMs)
• Complete scheduled hour services
• Change fluids and filters
• Perform equipment inspections
• Complete component checks
• Support equipment reliability and continued site production

Welding & Fabrication:

• Perform welding and fabrication duties
• Frame repairs
• Bracket repairs/fabrication
• Body work

Maintenance Documentation:

• Complete required maintenance reports
• Maintain required maintenance logs
