Senior System Administrator – Information Workplace Services Location: McKinney, TX. The role is full‑time, 100% onsite, with 24/7 operational responsibilities and occasional after‑hours work. Travel up to 10% per year to other U.S. domestic sites is required. Security clearance: Active U.S. Government–issued Secret clearance is required upon hire. The selected candidate must be a U.S. citizen. Key Responsibilities Provide system administration in a heterogeneous Microsoft Windows and Red‑Hat Enterprise Linux environment, including DNS, DHCP, Active Directory, and server replication. Configure and maintain software applications requested by end users. Use troubleshooting techniques to resolve medium to high‑scope technical problems, including integration of hardware and operating systems. Manage data RAID, backup, and recovery solutions. Collaborate with cybersecurity professionals to maintain security requirements. Document and train on advanced IT processes and procedures. Support 24/7 operations and occasionally work beyond standard hours. Required Qualifications Minimum of a bachelor’s degree and 2 years of relevant experience. Must have Linux or Windows administration experience. Experience with Active Directory, VMware, backup and recovery. Must have a transferable U.S. government–issued Secret clearance before start date. U.S. citizenship is required. Must obtain DoDD 8140 / 8570 certification (CompTIA Security+ CE or equivalent) within 6 months of start date. Preferred Qualifications DoDD 8140 / 8570 certification and an operating system certification. Experience with NISPOM, JAFAN, JSIG, DFARS, or DoD/RMF. Knowledge of data storage, NAS, and SAN technologies. Experience with IT project lifecycle management. Experience with VMWare vCenter, vSphere, ESX, and other virtual computing methods. Experience supporting engineers in software, simulations, and hardware development. Experience with Microsoft WSUS, MECM, or Exchange. Script writing experience.
