Job Description
Title: L&D RN - Labor and Delivery

Schedule: Shift: 0630-1900, Day Shift

Assignment Details: Contract Length: 13 weeks; Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week

Requirements:
- Current license as a Registered Nurse by the State of California
- Minimum 3-4 years of nursing experience in Labor and Delivery
- Strong labor experience and comfort with postpartum care
- STABLE certification is strongly recommended
- At least one year of labor and delivery experience
- Experience in nursery and postpartum care is appreciated
- AWHONN Fetal Monitoring certification must be obtained within six months of employment and recertified every two years
- ACLS and STABLE certifications preferred
- Current BLS certification is required
- NRP and hospital conscious sedation certification must be obtained or held, with initial certification within six months of employment and recertification every two years

Roles & Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients during labor and delivery
- Monitor fetal and maternal well-being throughout the labor process
- Assist in the stabilization of newborns
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Educate and support patients and families in postpartum care and newborn care practices
