Position Summary:Swank Construction Company, LLC is seeking a reliable and hardworking individual to join our team as a General Laborer for our Construction divisionKey Responsibilities:Ability to perform physical labor activities which includes, but is not limited to, lifting, pulling, pushing, and/or carrying different types of objects/materials.Preparing worksite zones, installing traffic barricades, cones, markers, and controlling traffic passing near, in, and around work zones.Assist with setting up and dismantling scaffolding, barricades, and other temporary structures.Load, unload, and transport materials and equipment using hand tools and machinery.Operate a variety of equipment, which includes, jackhammers, plate tampers, concrete mortar/mixers, electric/hydraulic machines, torches, seal pots, chainsaw/quickie saws, heavy walk behind flat saws drills, and power tools.Assist in jackhammering, mixing, and pouring concrete.Caring for company tools/equipment/machines.Keeps job site clean of all unused/waste materials and ensures all equipment is stored in a safe and secure manner.Ensure the practice of safety standards in accordance with company policies and OSHA.Willingness to perform and learn different aspects of the Construction Laborer position.Perform all other tasks and follow instructions as directed by supervisors.Minimum Qualifications:Valid Driver's License18 Years of Age or OlderMust be available to work varied shifts (days, nights, weekends)Willingness to travel for extended periods of time.Must be in a union or willing to join a unionWilling and able to obtain and maintain a Swank Driver File, including a PennDOT Medical Examiner's Certificate (Medical Card)Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen, MVR check, and background checkPreferred QualificationsPrior experience working as a laborer or equivalent experienceMechanical aptitudePhysical Demands & Work Environment:Will frequently be exposed to risk of accident and/or unpleasant elements (e.g., extreme temperatures, dirt, dust, fumes, smoke, loud noises, heights, uneven work surfaces, and hazardous substances).Will be required to lift, push, pull, and carry heavy items and materials.Ability to stand, sit, walk, climb, bend, stoop, kneel, and crawl for extended periods or when needed.Ability to effectively communicate in, and understand, English.Required to utilize personal protective equipment (e.g., hard hat, safety glasses & boots) at appropriate times.Swank Construction Company, LLC is a well-known and respected leader in the heavy highway construction industry.Swank Construction Company, LLC is a drug-free and Equal Opportunity Employer.
