Alliance Services, Inc. is seeking a travel nurse RN PCU - Progressive Care Unit for a travel nursing job in Wausau, Wisconsin. Job Details Specialty: PCU - Progressive Care Unit Discipline: RN Start Date: 06/15/2026 Duration: 13 weeks Hours: 48 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, nights (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) Employment Type: Travel Estimated Gross Weekly Pay: $3,015 Contract Completion Bonus: $500 Location: Wausau, WI Facility: 44‑bed intermediate cardiac step‑down unit specializing in postoperative CABG/Valve, thoracotomy, vascular, arrhythmia, CHF patients. Rotations: float to all inpatient units as needed; every other weekend and holiday required. Responsibilities Work 12‑hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM. Provide 48 guaranteed hours per week with overtime after 48 hours worked. Float to all inpatient units as needed. Maintain a patient ratio typically 1:4 in the 44‑bed intermediate cardiac step‑down unit. Manage high‑volume, fast‑paced care for post‑op CABG/Valve, thoracotomy, vascular, arrhythmia, CHF patients. Handle post‑procedure cath, pacer, defib, ablations, acute CP/MI cases. Manage medical/surgical overflow including detox, DKA, COPD exacerbation, respiratory failure. Pass EKG test during first week of hire. Maintain required certifications: Wisconsin RN License, BLS, and ACLS (AHA or ARC). Adhere to travel‑assignment requirements: 1 year strong cardiac experience, 2 years IMC/PCU/Telemetry experience, Amiodarone, Cardizem, and Nitro drips experience, at least one prior travel assignment, 1 year recent EPIC charting experience, contract eligible for 36 hours of low census unbillable hours, scrub colors: any color, residence outside 50‑mile radius, wear masks if unvaccinated during flu season. Qualifications 1 year strong cardiac experience (Cardiac SDU/Intermediate Cardiac/Cardiac ICU). 2 years IMC/PCU/Telemetry experience. Experience with Amiodarone, Cardizem, and Nitro drips. At least one travel assignment completed. 1 year recent EPIC charting experience. Wisconsin RN License, BLS, ACLS. Must reside outside 50‑mile radius.
