Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Post Anesthesia Care Unit Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Days, Monday - Friday Hours per Shift: 8 hours Experience: Minimum of 12 months of experience in Post Anesthesia Care License: Active Iowa or compact state license Certifications: - Basic Life Support (BLS) - Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) - Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) Must-Have: - Current/recent pediatric care experience - Strong experience reading and measuring telemetry - Drips and titration experience - Epic EMR experience Description: We are seeking a qualified Registered Nurse for a position in the Post Anesthesia Care Unit. The candidate must have a minimum of 12 months of experience in Post Anesthesia Care. Current or recent pediatric care experience is required. Strong experience in reading and measuring telemetry is essential. Candidates must have experience with drips and titrations. Epic EMR experience is necessary for this role. The position requires working 1-2 of the 3 upcoming winter holidays unless the unit is closed. All candidates must live at least 50 miles from the facility. Previous employees of the system within the past 12 months are not eligible for this position. Work history and skills checklist must be specific to Post Anesthesia Care. Professional references should be from a charge/supervisor/nurse manager/director within the last 24 months.
