About the Role:

The Press Brake Operator plays a critical role in the manufacturing process by accurately bending and shaping sheet metal components according to precise specifications. This position requires a deep understanding of press brake machinery and the ability to interpret complex blueprints to ensure that each part meets quality and dimensional standards. The operator will be responsible for setting up, adjusting, and operating press brake equipment to produce parts that conform to engineering drawings and customer requirements. Attention to detail and adherence to safety protocols are essential to maintain a safe work environment and minimize material waste. Ultimately, the Press Brake Operator contributes to the overall efficiency and quality of the production line, supporting timely delivery of finished products.

2nd shift will receive a 10% shift differential rate. 

Minimum Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Proven experience operating press brake machines in a manufacturing or metal fabrication environment.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
• Proficiency in using measuring instruments such as micrometers and calipers.
• Strong understanding of sheet metal properties and bending techniques.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Certification in press brake operation or metal fabrication.
• Experience with punch-press machines and other related press equipment.
• Familiarity with CNC press brake programming and operation.
• Knowledge of material handling best practices and safety standards.
• Previous experience working in a high-volume production environment.

Responsibilities:

• Set up and operate press brake machines to bend and form sheet metal parts according to blueprints and work orders.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications to determine the correct bending sequence and tooling requirements.
• Perform precise measurements using micrometers and other measuring tools to ensure parts meet dimensional tolerances.
• Conduct deburring and finishing operations to remove sharp edges and prepare parts for assembly or shipment.
• Handle materials safely and efficiently, including loading and unloading sheet metal stock and finished components.
• Maintain press brake equipment by performing routine inspections and minor adjustments to ensure optimal performance.
• Collaborate with quality control personnel to identify and resolve any issues related to part accuracy or defects.
• Adhere to all safety guidelines and company policies to maintain a safe working environment.
