Medical Assistant Non Certified

Position Summary

Provides the imaging center team with nursing-related services within scope of practice required to for patient care.

Primary Position Responsibilities

• Assists physician with direct patient care duties and carries out physician orders. Provides vital signs, weights and heights, and status of medications and allergies.
• Prepares for office visits, obtains test results and reports.
• Reports abnormalities or instability of patient’s condition.
• Performs ECGs and assists in exercise stress testing.
• Applies and sends Holter monitors to reporting system.

Minimum Education: Required: High School Diploma or equivalent Preferred: None

Minimum Years of Experience (Amount, Type and Variation): Required: None Preferred: Certification as a Medical Assistant

License, Registry or Certification: Required: None Preferred: To become certified as a Medical Assistant

Knowledge, Skills and/or Abilities: Required: Proficient in vital signs, performing EKGs and basic computer skills Preferred: None
