About the Role
The Company is in search of an SVP, Finance with a direct path to CFO to join their team. The successful candidate will be instrumental in professionalizing the finance function, building the necessary infrastructure, and partnering with leadership as the business transitions from R&D and pilots to commercial rollout, revenue recognition, and multi-site expansion. Key responsibilities for this role include owning controllership, monthly close, and board-level financial reporting, as well as leading the development of GAAP-compliant policies, controls, and audit-ready infrastructure. The SVP, Finance will also be tasked with overseeing FP&A, managing the cap table, and leading the company's treasury, banking, insurance, and cash management strategy. Applicants for the SVP, Finance position at the company should have 10-20 years of finance experience in venture or PE-backed environments, with a proven track record through financings and/or exits. A CPA is required, with a strong technical accounting foundation, preferably from a Big 4 or similar firm. Experience in hardware, robotics, or capital-intensive businesses is preferred. The ideal candidate will be a hands-on operator with the potential to step into a CFO role and possess a strong presence with the board.
