Field Lead (Sheetmetal & HVAC )

Our client, a leading construction and mechanical services provider, is seeking a Lead (Sheetmetal & HVAC ) to join their team. As a Lead, you will be part of the field operations team supporting project execution and jobsite coordination. The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills, leadership ability, and a commitment to safety and quality, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Field Lead (Sheetmetal & HVAC )
Location: Grand Rapids, MI (and surrounding areas)
Pay Range: $30–$36/hr (based on experience)

What’s the Job?

• Support planning, coordination, and execution of construction projects while assisting Foremen, Senior Leads, and Project Managers
• Lead field activities on smaller jobs or assist on larger projects, ensuring work is completed safely and on schedule
• Review plans, specifications, and shop drawings; help develop work plans and material lists
• Maintain jobsite organization, tool accountability, and proper equipment usage
• Communicate progress, issues, and updates while maintaining daily reports and documentation

What’s Needed?

• 2–4+ years of field experience in construction or a crew lead role
• Strong understanding of construction drawings, layouts, and jobsite execution
• OSHA 30 certification required
• Valid driver’s license and ability to operate company vehicles if needed
• Strong communication, organization, and leadership skills
