Position Overview The Team Member is the core of the Caribou experience, responsible for creating day‑making experiences by delivering unparalleled guest service, making world‑class hand‑crafted beverages, and embodying Caribou’s purpose and values in every interaction. Core Responsibilities Provide incredible Guest Service by developing ongoing personal relationships, practicing active listening, anticipating guest needs, and demonstrating product knowledge and hospitality. Make enthusiastic recommendations to delight guests. Craft beverages to order following Caribou standard operating procedures. Heat, prepare, and serve Caribou food offerings following SOPs. Float between barista and guest service roles, performing all team member duties as needed. Takes guest orders, manages cash drawer, and follows all cash handling policies and procedures. Maintain store appearance, cleanliness, sanitization, and organization standards. Think proactively about future team and guest needs. Identify problems that can be solved directly and know when to seek leader support. Manage multiple priorities and follow direction from leaders. Ability to work early mornings, evenings, some holidays and/or weekends. Preferred: prior restaurant, retail, or guest service experience. Physical Requirements Seeing, hearing, speaking, reaching, lifting up to 50 pounds, sitting, standing for 4–8 hours, bending, and moving intermittently during working hours. Physical demands must be accomplished with or without reasonable accommodations. Compensation and Location Compensation Range: $11.23 – $18.71 per hour (starting pay subject to local and state minimum wage regulations).
