Come be a part of this incredible and inclusive team at Invited!/ppJob Summary:/ppThe Lifeguard is responsible for ensuring the safety of all members, guests, and staff in and around the pool area during operating hours, special events, and private functions. This role involves actively monitoring the pool, enforcing safety rules, and responding promptly to emergencies. The Lifeguard plays a crucial part in maintaining a safe, clean, and enjoyable environment for everyone, ensuring all safety protocols are followed./ppReporting Structure:/pulliReports to Director Aquatics or Fitness Director/liliMay report to the Manager Aquatics in the absence of the Director Aquatics/li/ulpDay to Day:/pulliConnect with members regularly and promote aquatic club activities./liliHelp maintain pool safety by enforcing all pool rules and club policies./liliObserve and enforce swimming pool hours of operation./liliRegister members and guests entering the pool area to monitor pool usage./liliStrategically position lifeguards to cover all areas of the pool, ensuring that blind spots are monitored at all times. Maintain at least one lifeguard in the chair during weekends, holidays, or as directed by the General Manager./liliEnsure continuous pool supervision by taking breaks only when another lifeguard is on duty to assume responsibilities, including during meal breaks and restroom visits./liliMaintain cleanliness of pool deck, lounge chairs, and tables to ensure the safety of those in the area./liliStraighten pool furniture and clean all pool areas at the beginning of each shift, throughout the day, and at the end of each shift so that the safety of the members will be protected, and the pool area will maintain its polished image./liliUnlock pool office and open restrooms at the beginning of each shift, ensuring cleanliness and neatness. Lock pool office at the end of each shift, turning off lights. Lock pool gate at the close of each shift./liliReplace lane lines and lane line spool in storage closet when not in use./liliComplete daily assignments in designated areas to uphold club standards and maintain orderly and organized workspaces, tidying the entry areas, and ensuring the aquatics facilities are well-stocked and arranged./liliTurn in the charge slips, checks, etc. daily so that there is no delay in processing./li/ulpAdditional Duties:/pulliDue to the dynamic nature of the club, employees are expected to assist others as needed and take on additional tasks as assigned by management./liliFollow all company, club, and department policies, procedures, and instructions./liliMaintain a high level of professionalism and a commitment to excellence in interactions with members, colleagues, and staff./liliFollow safe working practices, ensuring compliance with safety guidelines and encouraging others to do the same./liliTake the initiative in personal and professional growth and maintain any required certifications relevant to your role./liliAddress and resolve challenges using available resources, working with regional and corporate teams to support club operations./liliAttend daily briefings and actively engage in required activities to stay informed and contribute to the teams success./li/ulpAbout You:/ppRequired:/pulliMust be ASCA or USA swimming certified./liliCertification in CPR, first aid, and AED within the last 6 months./liliAbility to communicate effectively with staff, members, and guests./li/ulpPreferred:/pulliHigh school diploma or equivalent./liliA minimum of 6 months of experience coaching swimmers of various ages and skill levels/li/ulpPhysical Requirements:/pulliFrequent swimming, sitting, standing, walking, and driving./liliOccasional exposure to temperature changes, dust, fumes, or gases./liliSquatting, kneeling, reaching, grasping, twisting, and bending./liliAbility to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 100 lbs. on occasion./liliTalking, hearing, and seeing./li/ulpPrimary Tools/Equipment:/pulliSwim cap, goggles, fins, noodles, whistles, etc./liliFirst aid kits and safety signage./liliLifeguard equipment such as rescue tubes and buoyancy aids./liliTimers and stopwatches./liliRadios or smartphones./li/ulpWork Schedule:/pulliAdherence to attendance requirements as outlined in the weekly schedule./liliFlexibility to work additional hours as needed to meet position deadlines./liliAvailability to work on weekends and/or holidays as required./li/ulpWhat We Offer:/ppWe believe in taking care of our team, and our Total Rewards package reflects that commitment.
