Senior Accountant

IFG is partnering with a family office in the northern suburbs of Chicago looking for a Senior Accountant. This is not your typical role within a corporate setting because this role will get you involved in all aspects of the business including monthly accounting close, budgeting/forecasting, financial reporting, acquisitions, and more. The role reports to the CFO so nobody better to learn from for mentorship and development purposes. You will for sure have a seat at the table! They are 5 days onsite to make sure you are side by side with the CFO and other leaders within the company. Compensation is $85K - $95K base. Responsibilities Monthly Financial close and reporting related to all investments. Bank account reconciliations. Real Estate Investment support – preparation of financial statements. Payroll for Family office. Taxes: Gather all information needed for annual tax filings for all Entities and Family Trusts. Coordinate and prepare all documents required for the Annual Audit. Businesses are audited individually and lead person on each is the respective Business Controllers. Annual Budgeting Participate with budgets for the operating businesses as needed. Manage related party loans. Cash Management and Treasury duties for Family Office and the Operating Businesses. Assist with various reporting and project related tasks as needed. Qualifications 7+ years' of professional accounting experience Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics or equivalent experience CPA preferred QuickBooks preferred
